4 Opportunities to be Intentional in the Everyday Rhythm of Life

4 Daily Opportunities!

Dueteronomy 6:5-8 ] Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.

We love saying “ the everyday rhythm of life” because it is so true! There are 4 times in everyday that you can be intentional in your relationships with your kids and it is really not MORE WORK, you just have to be awake and aware!

SIT AT HOME

This happens, naturally. You will find a time at dinner, on the couch, around the bonfire, on the deck, in the kitchen - it’s gonna happen - just be ready to engage and talk with your kids about the everyday life. No pressure to come up with a big talk, just be present!

WALK ALONG THE ROAD

Walks will happen, but let’s say “travel”! When you are in the car, going here and there and everywhere! Stay present! No phone distractions, just open road and space for connection.

LIE DOWN

No better time to be intentional with your kids than when it is time for bed. Our kids were always ready for our visit to their room for their own time with Mom and Dad to talk about the day, what’s on their minds and hearts and to be prayed over. Speak into your kids in these moments - make sure they know how much you believe in who they are becoming.

GET UP

Crazy but ahhh-mazing time to be intentional is in the morning as everyone is getting up and going! Start your kids off with a good word and positive affirmation! Too many kids go to school after they have been yelled at and chased all morning to get ready and get going. Lower the stress level and be intentional with your time and your words.

YOU WON’T REGRET THIS!
