Start Over

So many times I wish I had a DO OVER.

Just a chance to say it different, act different, do something different, ya know?

Along the way, with our kids we tried to practice this a little bit by suggesting that they “start over” when things were just not quite coming out of their mouths right. Whoa! Hold up! For example, if one of the kids came hustling into the kitchen with a heavy demand and no manners I might say “Why don’t you go back up stairs, and come back and try that again…” IN OTHER WORDS - Start Over.

The more I did that , the more and more impressed I was with their 2nd choice of words and action - so much so that I started to see how they would practice the FIRST time saying and doing things with more intention SO THAT they did not have to go back and start over as much!

Sounds simple, but I would encourage you to try it, especially if you have kids in your home who seem to be telling you what the what is. LOL

Your home, so you get to decide the culture and how people are to be treated. Leading my example and giving them every opportunity to see how they can grow , adapt and overcome in every situation.

Start Over.

Those are 2 very good words together, try it!
